Wes Anderson is the most influential comedic voice from the past two decades of American cinema. A true auteur, his intimate involvement in each of his films; Bottle Rocket, Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, The Darjeeling Limited, Fantastic Mr. Fox and Moonrise Kingdom, includes scriptwriting, set design, soundtrack selections and unit photography. Anderson's visual artistry, inimitable tone and idiosyncratic characterisations make each of his films instantly recognisable as "Andersonian."

The Wes Anderson Collection is the first in-depth overview of Anderson's work, guiding readers through the life and career of one of the most talked-about contemporary filmmakers. Previously unpublished photos, artwork and ephemera complement a book-length interview between Anderson and award-winning film critic Matt Zoller Seitz, who offers insights into Anderson's creative process, influences, and the production of his films. These elements come together in a meticulously designed object in the spirit of Anderson's movies: melancholy and playful, wise and childish--and thoroughly original.

It was a cause célèbre: the biggest case of alleged art fraud to come before the Australian criminal justice system, a $4.5 million sting drawing in one of the country’s most gifted and ultimately tragic artists, Brett Whiteley, a heroin addict who died alone in 1992.

It started with suspicions raised about artworks being produced in the style of Whiteley in a Melbourne art restorer’s studio. Secret photographs were taken as the paintings took form.

A jury finds two men guilty of faking Whiteleys, but a year later the appeal bench sensationally acquits them. The paintings are returned to their owners, leaving the legitimacy of the artworks in limbo.

Whiteley on Trial investigates this remarkable case and exposes the avarice of the art world, the disdain for connoisseurship and the fragility of authenticity.

An elegant survey of more than 70 works of art featuring women reading throughout time.

What is it about a woman reading that has captivated hundreds of artists over the centuries? Stefan Bollmann's 'Women Who Read Are Dangerous' explores this popular subject in more than 70 artworks—drawings, paintings, photographs, and prints—by iconic artists such as Henri Matisse, Edward Hopper, Suzanne Valadon, August Sander, Rembrandt, and many more. As the book's provocative title indicates, a woman reading was once viewed as radical. In chapters, such as "Intimate Moments" and "The Search for Oneself," Bollmann profiles how a woman with a book was once seen as idle or suspect and how women have gained autonomy through reading over the years. Bollmann offers intelligent and engaging commentary on each work of art in 'Women Who Read Are Dangerous', telling us who the subject is, her relationship to the artist, and even what she is reading. With works ranging from a 1333 Annunciation painting of the angel Gabriel speaking to the Virgin Mary, book in hand, to twentieth-century works, such as a stunning photograph of Marilyn Monroe reading Ulysses, this appealing survey provides a veritable slideshow of the many iterations of a woman and her book—a compelling subject to this day.

Painted murals first appeared in Latin America in the early 20th century; in the 1950s, spray-can graffiti associated with Latino gangs followed, notably the 'cholo' graffiti of Los Angeles. Today, street art has travelled to nearly every corner of the globe, evolving into a highly complex and ornate art form. The World Atlas of Street Art and Graffiti is the definitive survey of international street art, focusing on the world's most influential urban artists and artworks. Since the lives and works of urban artists are inextricably linked to specific streets and places, this beautifully illustrated volume features specially commissioned 'city artworks' that provide an intimate understanding of these metropolitan landscapes.
Organized geographically by country and city, more than 100 of today's most important street artists - including Espo in New York, Shepard Fairey in Los Angeles, Os Gemeos in Brazil, and Anthony Lister in Australia - are profiled alongside key examples of their work. The evolution of street art and graffiti within each region is also chronicled, providing essential historical context. With contributions by the foremost authorities on street art and graffiti, this landmark publication provides a nuanced understanding of a widespread contemporary art practice. The World Atlas of Street Art and Graffiti emphasises urban art's powerful commitment to a spontaneous creativity that is inherently connected to the architecture of the metropolis.

The Aboriginal people of Australia’s Western Desert lived in their homelands for thousands of years. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the expansion of the Western Australian mining and pastoral industries led to the surveying of a track along which cattle could be driven from Kimberley stations to markets in the south. This track became known as the ‘Canning Stock Route’.

In July and August 2007 nearly 70 artists, facilitated by Western Australian cultural organisation FORM, travelled up the stock route on a six-week return to Country. Yiwarra Kuju includes beautiful plates of the complete Canning Stock Route Collection and for the very first time tells the story of the stock route’s impact, and the importance of the country around it, by Aboriginal voices and interpreted through Aboriginal eyes.
